Dagenais Looks to Go Out on High with Steelers

Defenceman Randy Dagenais said he could think of no better place to finish his career than with Sheffield Steelers, after agreeing to return for a third season with the Elite League double winners.

The 30-year-old Canadian was an instrumental part of last season's league and play-off success, posting 11 goals and 37 assists in 63 games.

Popular forward Ashley Tait and goaltender Jody Lehman have already agreed to more lucrative deals in Europe next season but, despite a number of tempting offers, Dagenais preferred to return to try and repeat last year's memorable campaign, which he suggested could be his last.
