Texas Adds Milnamow
CEDAR PARK, TX -- The Texas Stars announced today the team has
signed former Union defensemen Brendan Milnamow to AHL contracts.
Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Milnanow has good size, plays a defensive style and will add
depth to our back end," said Texas Stars General Manager Scott
White.
Milnamow made his pro debut with Texas' ECHL affiliate, the Idaho
Steelheads, in late March of 2009 after completing a four-year
playing at Union College. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound blueliner
recorded collegiate highs with nine goals and 18 points in 39 games
as a senior. The defenseman also led the team with 62 penalty
minutes. After the NCAA season ended, Milnamow joined Idaho,
recording two penalty minutes in five games. The Connecticut native
played in 140 NCAA games over four seasons, scoring 16 goals and
setting up 24 others for a total of 40 points at Union College.
