The following article appeared November 11 on the Union Web site.
For the first time this season, the Union College men’s
ice hockey team hits the road for an ECAC Hockey weekend. The
Dutchmen, who are coming off a pair of 3-3 ties to Brown and #6
Yale, go to St. Lawrence on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. and then to
Clarkson on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. Although it’s still
early in the season, Union (0-0-2) and St. Lawrence (1-1-0) are
tied for fifth place with two points each, while Clarkson is in
11th with an 0-2-0 record.
This weekend’s contests will be broadcasted on WRUC 89.7 FM
and Teamline.cc with Matt Dubrey and Brian Unger ’93 on the
call. Video of both outings can also be accessed through B2tv.com
and live stats can be found via ecachockey.com.
Entering the weekend, the Dutchmen are 12th nationally with 3.56
goals-per-game. The team has scored 32 goals through nine games
– the most since producing 37 tallies to begin the 1994-95
season. The 32 goals are also the third most in program history
through nine games.
