SCHENECTADY — The Union hockey team knew all about its
failures in the postseason. Eleven trips to the ECAC Hockey
tournament brought heartache and misery, and an end to the season
without winning a series.
But heading into the first-round series with Clarkson over the
weekend, all the Dutchmen wanted to talk about was the present.
“For this team, the past is past,” Dutchmen co-captain
Matt Cook said two days before Game 1. “We’re not
looking at the past, right now. We’re just focusing
completely on ourselves, and these next few games against Clarkson
and taking care of business.”
