Harr to Play for Rio Grande
SCHENECTADY, NY -- Former Union defenseman Mike Harr will
further his career on the ice, signing a contract with Rio Grande
Valley of the Central Hockey League (CHL). In his 124 games with
the Dutchmen, Harr has contributed to the four best goals-against
averages in Union hockey history.
The Norwood, MA native 17 points with two goals and 15 assists.
Harr's defensive prowess has been crucial to maintaining the 2.68
average for the Dutchmen defense over the past four years. During
his career, Harr’s aggressive play led him to the 2008-09 das
Design 7th Player Award, presented to the Union hockey player
recognized by the fans as an individual who, with extra effort and
skill, consistently creates excitement and aggressive play,
resulting in a team advantage.
The Killer Bees are located in Hidalgo, TX and last year were
named the CHL Franchise of the Year.
