Feature: Patience Paying Off for Mayotte

At the outset of the ECHL season, Kris Mayotte brought a regional
tie to the Johnstown Chiefs – a “Pittsburgh Kid”
hoping to make an impact on the 25-team league’s Western
Pennsylvania team.
Mayotte was more than just a sentimental favorite, though. At
least that's what his 18 victories last season with the Fresno
Falcons suggested.
Still, Mayotte had to play the waiting game in Johnstown.
