Snakes Sign Bowles to Three-Game Tryout
The Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey
League (SPHL) have signed former Union forward Sam Bowles to a
three-game tryout, the team announced December 9. Bowles played 19
games with the New Mexico Scorpions of the CHL this season before
joining the Snakes. In those 19 games, he collected four goals and
four assists.
Prior to this season, the Maryland native played four seasons at
Union College, picking up 11 points in 100 games. This is his first
professional season. Bowles is expected to be in uniform Tuesday
when the Snakes host the Knoxville Ice Bears.
