Bouchard Returns to France

Former Union standout Olivier Bouchard has returned to Rouen (France), the team reported Friday. Bouchard, who spent the 2007-08 with Rouen, started the 2008-09 campaign with Nybro of Hockey Allsvenskan (Sweden).

"He contacted us," said Guy Fournier, general manager of Rouen. "Everything was done very quickly. We found common ground and so much the better."

In 58 games with Rouen, Bouchard netted 40 goals and added 44 assists for 84 points. He amassed 21 goals and 21 assists in 26 regular-season contests.

The 2007 ECAC Men's Hockey Student-Athlete of the Year, Bouchard compiled 44 goals and 45 assists in his four-year career with the Dutchmen.
