Las Vegas Inks Beynon
The Las Vegas Wranglers® have announced that the team has agreed to terms with former Union defenseman Michael Beynon.
“Beynon is a rookie defenseman out of college, who has
some size and should help out on the back end,” said General
Manager and Head Coach Glen Gulutzan.
Beynon will begin his first full season professional hockey after
a four-year career at Union College. Over four seasons, Beynon
played in 141 NCAA games, dishing out 33 assists and compiling 40
points. The 25-year old captained Union College during his junior
and senior seasons. Beynon was selected to the ECACHL All-Academic
team in 2006 and 2007. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defender made his
pro debut at the conclusion of his collegiate career in late March.
The Nepean, ON native played in four games with Idaho Steelheads
without registering a point and accumulating six penalty minutes.
