Peverley Brings Skill Up Front

WILMINGTON — Bruins fans should have a pretty clear idea of what Tomas Kaberle is, and is not, as a player. Their picture of Rich Peverley might not be quite so well developed.
Kaberle truly is as advertised, a puck-moving defenseman. He is not a particularly strong skater, defender, rusher or shooter. What he does do exceedingly well, with great vision, skill and poise, is pass the puck, whether on breakouts from his own end or at the offensive blue line. He’s at his best at the point of a power play.
He clearly brings a skill the B’s need.
