Hogg, Watson Finalists for CHL Man of Year
Former St. Lawrence standouts Adam Hogg and Simon Watson are among five finalists for the 2011 Central Hockey League (CHL) Man of the Year award. Hogg is a member of the Colorado Eagles; Watson plays for the Missouri Mavericks.
The award is presented annually to the Central Hockey League player judged to have best exemplified strong leadership qualities on and off the ice while making significant and noteworthy humanitarian contributions to his community, according to a news release.
Teams nominated one player from their clubs, detailing the player’s role within the local community. The winner will be announced March 22.
The other finalists are former Colgate standout Liam
Huculak of the Allen Americans, Jeff Jakaitis of the Dayton Gems
and Zak McClellan of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
