Madill Leads Depleted Defense in Second Stint with Wranglers

Despite being short-handed on defense much of this season, the Wranglers have managed to stay among the ECHL's top teams. Captain Mike Madill is one of the main reasons why.
A sixth-year pro in his fourth season with Las Vegas, the 29-year-old Madill has anchored the Wranglers' defense and led by example with a tireless work ethic.
"He logs a ton of minutes, he plays with pace all the time, and he plays the game the right way all the time," Wranglers coach Ryan Mougenel said. "He's our leader. Would I say he's an extension of me? Absolutely. He gets my message across to the guys.
