Clarke Returns to Finland
The Espoo Blues (Finland) announced that the team has reached an agreement with former St. Lawrence standout Dale Clarke.
Clarke played for last season in Sweden, competing for Brynäs. He tallied 18 points (four goals) in 53 regular-season contests.
Clarke is not a stranger to Espoo, having spent two seasons with the team in 2007-08 and 2008-09. During his stint with the Blues, the Sarnia, Ontario native played in 69 regular-season games in which he totaled 37 points, including 10 goals.
"Dale Clarke's return to Espoo is a wonderful thing, and we believe he can help the team's strengths. Clarke is familiar to our coaching and we know exactly what kind of player we have," said Action Sports Director Janne Vuorinen.
Clarke was a four-year standout for the Saints from 1996-97 through 1999-00. In four seasons with St. Lawrence, Clarke played 142 games, compiling 11 goals and 42 assists.
