CANTON — The odds of St. Lawrence hosting an ECAC playoff game this year are all but dashed after dropping its latest game, 2-1, to Clarkson.

The Saints are currently 10th in the conference standings and sit five points back of Quinnipiac for eight place and the final home playoff spot. Brown is ninth, two points up on St. Lawrence with four games to play.

St. Lawrence, should it win out, would earn eight points, which would bring it to 19 on the season. Clarkson, which sits seventh, needs only one win to keep on top of St. Lawrence; Brown needs three wins to top SLU and Quinnipiac needs to go only 1-2-1 over its last four games to top the Saints. St. Lawrence doesn't hold the tiebreaker in any scenario.
