Petizian to Play in Italy

Aquile FVG (Italy) announced Saturday the signing of former St. Lawrence standout Alex Petizian for the 2011-12 season.
Petizian, who completed his collegiate career in 2009-10, spent the past two seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) and East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). He spent time with Portland and Rochester of the AHL last season, as well as Ontario of the ECHL. Petizian appeared in four games, three in the AHL and one in the ECHL.
In four seasons with the Saints, Petizian appeared in 86 games. His top camaign came in 2008-09 when he finished with a 2.18 goals-against average and .927 save percentage in 31 contests.
