Petizian to Showcase Skills in Binghamton
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators announced today they have signed former St. Lawrence goaltender Alex Petizian to a professional try-out contract.
Petizian, 23, was traded from the Ontario Reign to Binghamton’s ECHL affiliate, the Elmira Jackals on Feb. 11. The 5-10, 175-pound netminder appeared in one game for the Reign this season, posting a loss and a .857 save percentage.
The native of Kirkland, Quebec spent four seasons with St. Lawrence University (2006-2010) where he appeared in 86 games, posting a 45-29-10 career record. He holds a St. Lawrence University career record with a 2.53 goals-against average.
Petizian has appeared in three career American Hockey League games with Portland and Rochester
