A seventh round pick of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Generous had a stellar four year career at St. Lawrence, where he was a four-time member of the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team. Generous, who signed a one-year entry level contract with the Buffalo Sabres after completing his college career in 2008-09, was named ECAC Hockey's Defensive Defenseman of the Year.
