Blaze Sign Zbriger

The Bloomington Blaze presented by Mid-Illini Credit Union announced the signing of former St. Lawrence forward Mike Zbriger to the team’s pre-season roster.
Zbriger, 29, is a native of Montreal, Quebec who has played five years professionally following a four year college career at St. Lawrence.
The 5’-10”, 178 lbs forward played in Bloomington for the former PrairieThunder during the 2006-07 season, scoring 17 goals and adding 21 assists for 38 points in 44 games. “I’m looking forward to coming back to Bloomington where I really enjoyed myself and made a number of friends,” said Mike Zbriger. “Some of my fondest memories of playing professionally were in Bloomington.”
Zbriger’s career also includes playing for the Chicago Hounds, Flint Generals, Weiden (Germany), Corpus Christi Icerays, Wichita Thunder, and Quad City Mallards. Last year, Mike played in France for Montpellier where he scored 21 goals and 23 assists for 44 points in 26 games.
