HOUSTON -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has agreed to terms with former St. Lawrence defenseman Drew Bagnall on a two-year, two-way contract.

Bagnall, 27 (10/26/83), helped lead the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Houston Aeros to the Calder Cup Final in 2010-11, posting two assists and 112 penalty minutes (PIM) in 72 regular season games, and two points (1-1=2) and 22 PIM in 24 post-season contests. Bagnall also played two games for the Wild, recording four PIM. He made his NHL debut April 8 in Edmonton.

Bagnall captained the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL in 2009-10, tying a career high with 12 points (1-11=12) and adding 113 (PIM) in 58 games.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of Oakbank, Manitoba, was originally selected by Dallas in the sixth round (No. 195 overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Bagnall played collegiately at St. Lawrence and totaled 72 points (19-53=72) and 235 PIM over four seasons.
