Minnesota Wild About Bagnall
HOUSTON --
Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the
National Hockey League (NHL) club has agreed to terms with former
St. Lawrence defenseman Drew Bagnall on a two-year, two-way
contract.
Bagnall, 27 (10/26/83), helped lead the American Hockey
League’s (AHL) Houston Aeros to the Calder Cup Final in
2010-11, posting two assists and 112 penalty minutes (PIM) in 72
regular season games, and two points (1-1=2) and 22 PIM in 24
post-season contests. Bagnall also played two games for the Wild,
recording four PIM. He made his NHL debut April 8 in Edmonton.
Bagnall captained the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL in 2009-10, tying a career high with 12 points (1-11=12) and adding 113 (PIM) in 58 games.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of Oakbank, Manitoba, was originally selected by Dallas in the sixth round (No. 195 overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Bagnall played collegiately at St. Lawrence and totaled 72 points (19-53=72) and 235 PIM over four seasons.
