The sad passing last week of Pat Burns has drawn inevitable comparisons of coaching style for the man currently running the club at ice level.
The video tributes for Burns have focused on an emotional powderkeg who could instantly transform himself from a wise-cracking, happy-go-lucky tavern bud to a bellowing, ref-baiting, vein-popping former cop.
So why, Canadiens fans have unreasonably been wondering as hockey prepares for Burns's Monday funeral, can't the button-down Jacques Martin be more like that?
