McKenzie to Don River Rats Jersey

ALBANY, NY—The Albany River Rats announced today that St. Lawrence forward Mike McKenzie has been signed to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).

McKenzie, 23, joins the River Rats after completing his senior season at St. Lawrence University. The assistant captain ranked second on the team in scoring this season with 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists) in 41 games. McKenzie (6’0”, 185 lbs.) led the team in scoring last season as a junior with 34 points, including a team-high 16 goals. The Whitby, Ontario native has also played for the St Michael’s Buzzers, the Bowmanville Eagles and the Oshawa Legionaires of the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League.

Albany travels to Glens Falls on Wednesday for Game 10 of the Time Warner Cable Cup series against the Adirondack Phantoms at 7:00 p.m.
