Glenn Secures Deal to Remain in Finland
Former St. Lawrence standout Ryan Glenn has signed a two-year contract with Ilves of the SM-liiga (Finland), the team announced.
"I am pleased that Glenn will continue with us," said Ilves sports director Seppo Hiitela. "We know what we get. Glenn conformed to the team very well and proved to be a real team player."
Glenn joined Ilves midway through the 2009-10 campaign. In 22 games with Ilves, he contributed two goals and three assists. Glenn began the 2009-10 campaign with Södertälje where he netted one goal and added seven assists.
The Port Coquitlam, British Columbia native was a four-year standout at St. Lawrence (2000-04). In 145 collegiate contests, Glenn scored 18 goals and registered 38 assists. His top offensive campaign came in his senior season when he scored times and set up 22 tallies.
Glenn spent four seasons competing in the American Hockey League (AHL) and East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). He played 161 games in the AHL and 103 games in ECHL.
