McBride Returns to Elmira
HOUSTON -- Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today
announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has released
former St. Lawrence forward Brock McBride from his Professional
Tryout (PTO) contract, and returned him to the Elmira Jackals of
the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
McBride, 24 (10/18/86), appeared in 18 games with the Aeros and
registered six points (3-3-6) along with a plus-5 rating and 12
penalty minutes (PIM). He scored the game-winning goal Nov. 17 vs.
Chicago. The Cornwall, Ontario, native is in his second pro season
after a four year career at St. Lawrence University (NCAA).
McBride has appeared in six games with the Jackals this season, five to begin the season and one at the end of November, and has registered at least a point in all contests (2g-7a). The Jackals had initially loaned McBride to Houston on Oct. 28 and received him back from the Aeros on Nov. 28 for one game before McBride returned for more action with Houston.
