Sharks Net Trevelyan
SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice
President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the
team has signed unrestricted free agent left wing T.J. Trevelyan, a
former St. Lawrence standout, to a one-year contract. In keeping
with club policy, financial terms of the deal were not
disclosed.
Last season with the Worcester Sharks, Trevelyan led the team in
goals (28), matching his career high despite missing 17 games due
to injury. He notched 44 points (28 goals, 16 assists) in 63
games
In the AHL Playoffs, he tied for the team lead with four goals,
despite missing three games, and finished with six points (four
goals, two assists) in eight games.
Trevelyan has played in 271 American Hockey League games with
Providence, Iowa and Worcester, posting 182 points (97 goals, 85
assists) and 98 penalty minutes.
The five-foot-nine, 180-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario
played four collegiate seasons at St. Lawrence, where he was one of
ten finalists for the Hobey Baker Award in 2005-06. That same
season, he led the ECAC in scoring and was named First Team
All-American and ECAC Player of the Year.
