Symington Looks for WSOP Bracelet

ODESSA, TX – For the second straight year, Jeremy Symington, a former St. Lawrence standout, is sitting at the World Series of Poker.

The Jackalopes’ goaltender won the seat online after playing a series of online preliminary games before winning the final online tournament to secure his seat in the main event.

“Well I’m definitely excited about things,” said Symington. “Last year went well for me when I competed in it and I’m looking forward to this year. I have a little more experience having been there last year.”

In last year’s main event, Symington finished 584th out of the 6,844 players that entered and collected $23,160 in winnings. Symington is currently in Las Vegas competing in smaller tournaments in the WSOP Circuit as he waits for the opening round of the main event to begin on Friday, July 3rd.

“The opening round is stretched over a couple days. I don’t know which day I’m playing yet, but I’m excited to get started.”

“Day One” of the WSOP Main Event begins on Friday and concludes on Monday, July 6th.
