Timeout with the Times: Max Mobley
The following article featuring St. Lawrence forward Max Mobley appeared January 29 on the Watertown Daily Times Web site.
MAX MOBLEY
Class: Freshman
Position: Forward
Height, weight: 5'7", 170 lbs.
Major: Biology
Hometown: Glendale, Ariz.
Favorite professional team: Phoenix Suns
WDT: How fulfilling was it to play Saturday against Union? It was the first action you've seen since mid-October at Niagara.
Mobley: It felt really good to finally get a chance out there. I'm here to do whatever they tell me to do. If (coach Joe) Marsh wants me to go out there and play goalie, I'll do it. Honestly, it felt really good to put that jersey on. I took about 10 to 15 seconds to look at it. I hadn't put (a home) jersey on since the exhibition game.
WDT: You were one of the last players revealed for this large recruiting class. How did you end up at St. Lawrence?
Mobley: My dad and I came during the summer. I saw the campus and fell in love right away. I couldn't believe that nice of a campus was at such a small school, and we have the (Division) I atmosphere here with the hockey. I saw the facilities and how much passion Joe Marsh had, and it just felt like the right place.
