Peverley Reaping Rewards in Atlanta
The following article featuring former St. Lawrence standout Rich Peverley appeared October 27 on the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) Web site.
Determination and dedication made him a star at St. Lawrence
University, but it didn’t end there for Rich Peverley.
If Joe Marsh, who completed his 24th season as head coach of
men’s hockey at St. Lawrence in 2008-09, didn’t have
time to talk, he’d certainly find some to speak about
Peverley, who played four seasons for the Saints, from
2000-2004.
“A great kid,” offered Marsh, who has four ECAC Coach
of the Year Awards to his name, is the first coach in ECAC history
to win five tournament titles and was the recipient of the 1989 and
2000 Spencer-Penrose Award as Division I Coach of the Year.
”He has great skill, quick hands, very coachable and a good
teammate. There is any number of things you could say about
Rich.”
