PORTLAND — Kyle Rank felt comfortable Thursday on his first
day back in the Portland Pirates' locker room at the Cumberland
County Civic Center.
"This is like our home away from home," said Rank, taping his
sticks in preparation for the start of the team's training camp.
The Pirates take the ice at 10 a.m. today at Portland Ice Arena for
their first practice.
Rank, who turns 27 in December, is especially happy to start the
season in Portland with an American Hockey League contract.
