Desperation Time Arrives for Saints

ALBANY — The sighs at the postgame press conference
sounded more like gasps.
The St. Lawrence University men's hockey team appeared to be
breathless after an improbable defeat to Yale in Friday's ECAC
Hockey Tournament semifinal. The biggest shock is that the Saints
have only one more shot to extend their season for another
week.
SLU's hopes for an NCAA tournament berth hinge on today's
third-place matchup with Princeton. A victory would at least put
the Saints in the discussion for an at-large bid. A loss likely
ends their season.
