Ross Still Grieving, but Back on Ice

The St. Lawrence University men's hockey team had been
practicing for 15 minutes before Jared Ross was in pain.
In a station drill Tuesday, a blistering slap shot belted the
Saints' senior defenseman in the ankle. Ross limped on his skates
momentarily, but mustered a smile, as if he was inviting the agony.
To the second-year captain, just sharing a laugh with head coach
Joe Marsh about the shot and skating with his teammates was
comforting.
Besides, no other pain could compare to the anguish Ross endured
over the holidays.
