Di Lauro to Display Skills in Italy

Ray Di Lauro, a former St. Lawrence standout, has joined HC Interspar Bolzano (Italy), the team announced Tuesday.

Di Lauro spent the 2008-09 campaign with the LIWEST EHC Black Wings Linz of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (Austria). In 58 games he produced 30 points (8 goals and 22 assists).

From 2006 to 2008 he played 106 games in the German DEL with the Krefeld Penguins EV and Duisburg. In 2006-07 with Krefeld, Di Lauro played in 51 games in which he totaled two goals and 11 assists.  In 2007-08, DiLauro compiled seven goals and 18 assists in 55 contests with Duisburg.

Prior to playing in Europe, DiLauro spent five seasons competing in the American Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League. He played 49 games with the Cleveland Barons of AHL in 2005-06, amassing five goals and 19 assists. DiLauro played for four ECHL clubs, including Wheeling in 2004-05 where he scored 12 goals and added 40 assists in 72 games.

The Bensalem, Pennsylvania native, represented the Saints from 1998 through 2002. In 140 contests, DiLauro scored 13 goals and set up 43 tallies.
