Phantoms Promote Trull
BILOXI, MS -- The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Thursday
that former St. Lawrence forward Chase Trull has been called up to
the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.
“I was very excited to make that phone call to Chase,”
Sea Wolves Head Coach and General Manager Steffon Walby stated.
“He’s a player who gives everything he’s got
every single shift. It just goes to show that if you put everything
on the line every night, people will notice and you will get your
chance.”
An alumnus of St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., Trull has
played in all 11 Sea Wolves regular season games in 2008-09,
scoring two goals and four assists and earning 17 penalty minutes.
A 6-3, 210-pound native of Rockwood, Ont., he appeared in 67
regular season games with the Sea Wolves last season, scoring five
goals and eight assists and amassing 93 penalty minutes. Prior to
joining the Sea Wolves, Trull played for Muskegon of the
now-defunct United Hockey League in 2006-07, potting seven goals
and 12 assists in 76 regular season games. After playing three
seasons at St. Lawrence, where he scored six goals and 11 assists
in 96 career games with the Skating Saints, Trull began his
professional career in the 2005-06 season the Phoenix of the ECHL,
scoring a goal and picking up two penalty minutes in seven games.
