Condors Sign Hallas
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Bakersfield Condors have added St.
Lawrence goaltender John Hallas as an emergency backup goaltender
today, as announced by Head Coach Marty Raymond. Hallas will join
the team in Victoria for Game 1 of the playoffs on Thursday.
Hallas, 22, made his pro debut with the Mississippi Sea Wolves
(ECHL) in late March after wrapping up his college career at St.
Lawrence University (NCAA). He appeared in two games for the Sea
Wolves, making 10 saves in 27 minutes, while registering a win and
not allowing a single goal.
The 6-foot, 175-pound native of Largo, Florida led St. Lawrence this season with 15 starts in net, going 6-7-1 with a 2.59 GAA and .910 save percentage. Hallas finished second on the team in GAA and posted the Saints lone shutout of the season.
