Symington Named IHL Goaltender of Week
ROCHESTER, MI -- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced
Monday that Kalamazoo goaltender Jeremy Symington, who played at
St. Lawrence, has been named the Southern Sports Supply IHL
Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, December
16.
For the second time this season, Symington earned the league's top
weekly award for a goaltender by going 2-1-0-0 over three games and
holding the opposition to a 2.01 goals against average.
Highlighting the week for Symington was a 36-save shutout last Friday versus the Muskegon Fury. The shutout was the first this season for both Symington and the K-Wings.
