York Returns to Express

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced that former Rensselaer goaltender Allen York has been reassigned to the Express by Columbus (NHL) from Springfield (AHL).

York comes back to Chicago for his third stint with the club. He played his first game for the Express on November 19, and his 38-save effort helped boost Chicago to a 2-1 win over Cincinnati. After being recalled immediately after the game, York came back to the Express on December 7, and immediately played three straight games as the Express took five of six possible points against the Kalamazoo Wings. On the season, York has played in four NHL games with the Blue Jackets, five games with Springfield, and seven games with Chicago. While with the Express, the 6-3, 190-pound goaltender has a 2.98 GAA, .903 save percentage, and a 4-2-1-0 record.
