Helfrich Heads to Florida
ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that the team has signed Rensselaer forward Tyler Helfrich.
Helfrich comes to the Everblades after helping lead R.P.I. to the NCAA tournament by posting 38 points (14g, 24a) in 38 games, which ranked second on the team. The 23-year-old winger finished second on the team in power play goals and game-winning goals this past season. Overall in his collegiate career with the Engineers, the Calgary, Alberta native amassed 106 points (33g, 73a) in 135 games from 2007-11.
