Lord Returns to Wheeling
WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announced Monday that the team has former Rensselaer forward Andrew Lord has been reassigned by the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Lord has been placed on the Nailers playoff roster, and is eligible to play when Wheeling battles Greenville in game six of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Tuesday evening.
Lord, 26, returns to Wheeling after appearing in 34 games with Oklahoma City registering a goal and seven assists, along with 89 penalty minutes. Lord was loaned to the Barons in late December, and earned an AHL contract with the club. The native of West Vancouver, BC played 26 games with the Nailers this season logging 19 points (7g, 19a). This is Lord's third season in Wheeling where he served as team captain last season and the first part of this season before leaving for Oklahoma City.
