Old Friends Meet Again in Midwest Regional

The Record
TROY — When Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hockey
coach Seth Appert arrives at the NCAA Hockey Tournament Midwest
Regional in Green Bay, he’ll see plenty of familiar
faces.
Not only is Appert’s former school, the University of Denver
there, so is Appert’s best friend, Western Michigan head
coach Jeff Blasdell.
The top seed in the region – and the top-ranked team in the
nation – North Dakota is quite well-known to Appert, too,
since the Fighting Sioux and Denver are big rivals in the Western
Collegiate Hockey Association.
