Merth Returns to Wheeling
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced that former Rensselaer defensemen Peter Merth has been released from his professional tryout agreement. Merth will return to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
During his four games in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Merth picked up an assist for his first AHL point. Now in his second year as a pro, Merth has posted two assists and 11 penalty minutes in 13 games with the Nailers.
