Modry Brings a Wealth of Experience to RPI

TROY — As his 23-year professional hockey career on
two continents was winding down, former National Hockey League star
defenseman Jaroslav Modry began to get the urge to coach.
“I wanted to stay close to the game,” the 40-year old
Modry said. “What better way?”
So, the 14-year veteran hung up the skates and took a volunteer
assistant job with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
