Gladiators Acquire Helfrich
The Gwinnett Gladiators have signed former Rensselaer forward Tyler Helfrich after he was claimed off of waivers from the Florida Everblades on October 17th.
Helfrich did not appear in either game against Gwinnett last
weekend. He played two games last season with Florida and earned an
assist. He also skated in four Kelly Cup Playoff games last year
but did not register a point.
The Calgary, Alberta, native skated four seasons at RPI from
2007-2011. He had a career year during his senior season as he
notched 38 points (14 goals, 24 assists) in 38 games. He had 106
points (33 goals, 73 assists) in 135 career collegiate games.
