RPI in NCAAs? Math Says Yes

TROY -- Some simple arithmetic, a lot of ingenuity and 14 hours worth of computer-assisted calculations have led one RPI student to the following welcomed conclusion:
The Engineers' chances of making the NCAA Tournament are much, much better than most have thought.
Reilly Hamilton, a computer science and economics major, believes he has calculated the Engineers' chances of receiving an at-large bid -- something most observers had believed to be a 50/50 proposition, at best.
