Morissette Joins Amiens
The Hockey Club Amiens Somme (France) announced Tuesday the signing of former Rensselaer standout Jake Morissette for the 2011-12 season. Morissette spent the 2010-11 campaign with Frederikshavn (Denmark).
The Fruitvale, British Columbia, native joins les Gothiques after averaging one point per contest with Frederikshavn. The former Engineers standout amassed 33 points, including 21 goals, in 33 regular-season contests. He added three goals and one assist in 11 playoff games.
Competing in 138 contests in a four-year career at RPI (2004-08), Morissette registered 17 goals and 24 assists. His most productive offensive campaign was 2006-07 when he scored seven goals and set up 12 tallies in 36 contests.
