Merriam Ready to Step into Spotlight

The Record
TROY — Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute can take a large
step toward a top four finish in the ECAC Hockey standings this
winter. Or the Engineers, 18-6-4 overall could drop from third
place, right of the top four.
With two important games against Colgate and Cornell, backup
goaltender Bryce Merriam has the Engineers’ season squarely
on his shoulders.
Okay, so that’s a bit of an exaggeration. However, with
leading goaltender Allen York still sidelined with a concussion,
Merriam has been given a huge task.
