RPI Excited About Battle with Union
TROY — Seth Appert says his Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute hockey team needs to get angry; not angry at rival Union,
which is a nationally-ranked Top 10 team while the Engineers are
one of the nation’s worst few teams, record-wise and
stats-wise at least; or not even that has dominated RPI over the
past seven years.
“We need to be angry about where we are,” Appert said
as his team prepared to battle Union in today's 4 p.m. non-league
contest at Lake Placid’s Herb Brooks Arena at the 1980
Olympic Center.
Rivals St. Lawrence and Clarkson play in the 7:30 p.m. conclusion
of the Faceoff Festivus at the Olympic Center.
