RPI coach Seth Appert made a point of visiting his players while they lifted weights at 7 Monday morning.
He wanted to deliver a short, simple message: This was no time for the Engineers – losers of three of their past four games – to be feeling sorry for themselves, especially with a matchup against No. 9/10 Union looming Saturday in Lake Placid.
"Losing teams would come in this week and say, 'Woe is me, let's just hurry up and play Union on Saturday,''' Appert said. "But a winning team would come in this week and try to get better. I think the guys have done a good job of that."
