Appert Holding Out Hope

Ever the optimist, Seth Appert stayed awake all Sunday night, long after a double-overtime loss knocked his RPI men's hockey team out of the ECAC Tournament, and searched for a beacon of hope that his season might somehow continue.
His verdict: The Engineers may be on life support, but Appert found a pulse.
After crunching the numbers into the wee hours of the morning, Appert believes there's a chance RPI can earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, even in the wake of Sunday's loss to Colgate that ended the best-of-3 series.
