TROY -- Seth Appert and his RPI hockey team are hoping that a single goal won't keep them from their singular goal of making it to Atlantic City in three weeks for the ECAC Hockey Championships.
That's all that kept RPI from getting this week off and having to win only one best-of-3 playoff series instead of two -- one goal.
The Engineers were unable to put one in the net over the last 33-plus minutes against Quinnipiac, settling for a 2-2 tie that left them a point from securing fourth place and an automatic first-round bye.
