If you haven’t paid close attention, nor had the opportunity to watch his game evolve, you wouldn’t thing there’s been much change in Rensselaer’s Chase Polacek during his career. He’s been a point producer and impact offensive contributor for RPI since he set foot on campus. That’s never fluctuated.

Polacek’s skill level was never a concern for the RPI coaching staff when they convinced him to come to campus. They knew that he could get his points. He could stay on the perimeter and make plays, and they could probably tolerate some youthful mistakes like lapses in discipline, evidenced by retaliation penalties, and misdirected energy in practices and games.
