Appert Among The Hockey News' Top 40 Under 40
The Hockey News has once again listed its Top 40 Under 40 in the
sport of hockey and Rensselaer head men's coach Seth
Appert has been listed. The international
publication's annual list recognizes up and coming people in the
sport.
Appert, 36, is listed due to his efforts in returning the
Engineers to national prominence after taking over the program in
2006. Rensselaer is currently 10-4-3 and ranked 14th
nationally, according to the most recent polls. The Engineers
recently complete a two-game series sweep at the University of
Alabama-Huntsville.
Interestingly, Appert, who is the American Hockey Coaches
Association President, is joined on the list by former college
teammate and roommate Jeff Blashill, who is in his first year as
head coach at Western Michigan University.
